Sourcing Your Crepe Paper
Crepe paper is widely available around the world, and it’s usually quicker, easier, and more affordable for you to source it locally.
When ordering online search for 180g Crepe Paper.
The heaviest commonly available, high-quality crepe paper is 180 gsm (grams per square meter) Italian crepe paper. This heavyweight, durable paper is ideal for creating large, structured paper flowers, offering significant 260% stretch and better shape retention compared to lighter options.
You’ll need:
• Heavy crepe paper (180g recommended) info below on sourcing your crepe paper.
• Cardboard circle 25cm/10inch diameter (template included in PDF)
• Petal template (included in PDF)
• Glue gun and glue sticks
• Stapler
• Scissors
• Lamp with removable shade (floor lamp, table lamp or pendant light)
• LED light bulb (required for safe use)
A clear workspace and a little patience go a long way.
Measurements for cutting your crepe pieces are included in the printable pdf, follow along while watching your tutorial.
This is a recorded workshop, not a live class. While I can’t offer individual feedback, I hope it gives you a calm, encouraging place to begin.
