We’ll share pastries during stretch breaks while you learn how to handle the giant metre-long knitting needles—each one lovingly handcrafted by Rex, our local woodturner. With pure New Zealand wool in your chosen colour, you’ll begin creating your own lush, oversized blanket—no prior experience needed.
It’s the perfect way to spend a Sunday and leave with something you made by hand.

Let’s make a whale!
In this fun, hands-on clay workshop you will learn how to shape and build your very own whale using air-dry clay. We’ll take it step by step, so everyone feels confident and supported. Once the whales have dried, we’ll meet again to paint them and add colour, personality, and finishing touches.
This workshop is perfect for beginners — no experience needed, just a love of making and getting hands-on with clay. Every whale will be different, and that’s part of the fun.

Before the Christmas hustle sets in, take a couple of hours to slow down and create.
In this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to paint a festive watercolour wreath and a mistletoe card, with step-by-step guidance. Once you’ve got the hang of the techniques, you’re welcome to paint any other designs that inspire you.
We’ll also have brush pens and stencils available so you can experiment with lettering and embellishments- no calligraphy expertise required, just a curiosity to play and explore.
You’ll leave with a small collection of heartfelt, handmade cards ready to send, and some simple watercolour skills you can keep using at home. And a black brush pen of your own!
A perfect way to pause before the festive rush, get creative, and add a personal touch to the silly season. No experience needed- just bring your cheer and a little curiosity!
