Kintsugi Workshop

$120.00

Discover the beauty in brokenness through the timeless Japanese art of Kintsugi- the practice of mending ceramics with gold, transforming cracks into shimmering lines of strength and history. Rather than disguising flaws, Kintsugi celebrates them, honouring the story that each repaired piece carries.

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore a modern adaptation of this centuries-old practice using gold dust and epoxy glue. You’ll learn the process step-by-step, practice the meditative process of repairing ceramic pieces (yes, there’s a moment of satisfying, gentle smashing!), and finish with your own golden-repaired piece to take home.

Kintsugi teaches us to embrace imperfection as part of life’s story- that cracks can become something to cherish, not hide.

Your ceramic pieces will be provided on the day. Feel free to bring along treasured items to be mended, and I will advise if they are suitable for a beginners class. Or get in touch before booking to discuss.

Date & Time:
Saturday 29th Nov
10am – 1pm

Price:
$120pp

Location:

This workshop is taught with deep appreciation for the Japanese origins of Kintsugi, honouring its philosophy of transformation and care while offering a contemporary way to experience its spirit through making.
